The Grounds

The Rankin House InnThe charm and character of the Rankin House Inn grounds are second only to the charm of the house itself. Set-up from the street there is a faux-stone concrete block retaining wall (circa 1911). The property features a plethora of exotic and unusual trees and flowers.

The stairs to the home are made out of old Asheville street concrete curbs and give a massive introduction to the grandness of the Rankin House.

With many nooks and private spots to explore guests will enjoy wandering around and spending time outside taking in the beauty unique to Western North Carolina. The back courtyard is quite private and offers a variety of places to sit and think or enjoy the beauty of the koi pond.
